Wax mold making
The manufacturing of wax patterns is a key part to start duplex stainless steel investment casting process. The quality of the wax patterns determines the quality of the final duplex stainless steel castings directly.Select high-quality wax materials and accurately shape the wax mold by injection or die casting. This process requires strict control of parameters such as the temperature, pressure and injection speed of the wax material to ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the wax mold.

Wax mold assembly
Then comes the wax mold assembly. The manufactured single wax molds are combined into wax mold groups. During the assembly process, it is necessary to ensure that the connection between the wax molds is tight and the position is accurate, so as to prepare for the subsequent shell making process.

Shell making
Shell making is one of the key steps. Usually, multiple layers of refractory materials are first applied to the wax mold group to form a shell of a certain thickness. Common refractory materials include silica sol, etc. Each layer must be evenly applied and the thickness must be controlled, which directly affects the density and surface roughness of the casting.

Dewaxing
After the shell making is completed, it is dewaxing. The wax pattern in the shell is completely removed by high-temperature roasting, so that a cavity is formed inside the shell to prepare for molten steel filling.

Roasting Shell
The shell after dewaxing needs to be roasted to further improve the strength and air permeability of the shell.

Pouring
Then it enters the molten steel pouring stage. The duplex stainless steel liquid that has been strictly tested and refined is injected into the shell cavity under specific temperature and pressure conditions.

Cleaning and inspection
The last step is the cleaning and inspection process. After removing the casting from the shell, remove the attached impurities, conduct a comprehensive appearance and internal quality inspection of the casting, and check whether its chemical composition, mechanical properties, etc. meet the relevant standards.
