What is Centrifugal Casting?

Centrifugal casting is a technique that involves injecting molten metal into a rapidly rotating mold, enabling the metal to undergo centrifugal motion to fill the mold and form the casting. The centrifugal force allows the molten metal to radially fill the mold, creating a free surface on the casting. This method eliminates the need for cores to form cylindrical inner holes, facilitates the removal of gases and inclusions from the molten metal, and influences the crystallization process, thereby enhancing the mechanical and physical properties of the casting.
