What is gravity casting?

Gravity casting refers to the process in which molten metal is poured into a mold under the action of Earth's gravity, also known as gravity pouring. Broadly, it includes sand casting, metal mold casting, investment casting, and so on, while narrowly, it specifically refers to metal mold casting. This process is a metal forming technology and, together with pressure casting, constitutes the two main methods of casting.
